Kherson is 450 km southeast of Kiev, 100 km west of Odessa and the Black Sea, and 300 km from Crimea, located on a coast of the river of Dnieper in the southern part of Ukraine, It is one of ten largest cities in Ukraine. Population 400,000, including the people from many different countries, mainly Ukrainian and Russian, but also Jewish, Bulgarian, Korean, Germans. The city was founded in 1778 by Count Potyomkin, as a center of shipbuilding and became the main location of shipbuilding for the Russian Fleet at the Black sea.
Kherson is also unique by its nature and climate that is formed by the Southern steppes of the Ukraine and the warmth of the Black sea.
Kherson's natural beauty attracts many tourists who come here for yachting, fishing and the beauty of the Dnieper River.
There are also several concert halls, nightclubs, and restaurants.
